Andy Whitaker was understandably concerned when his workforce at his Motor repairs business scooped almost £4 million in the UK National Lottery. After faring well during the current economic crisis his concern was that the thirteen members of the syndicate would leave their jobs, leaving him with no staff. But he really needn’t have been concerned.

That’s because not only are the syndicate member not going to leave their jobs but they have also decided to invest in the business making it even stronger and allowing them to expand during the downturn.
It’s a real feel-good tale and Mr Whitaker has been quoted as saying how great it is not only to have this substantial lottery win but also to know how much his workforce care about the business they work in.
Each one of the syndicate winners has pledged to invest part of their £300,000 winnings back into the motor repair business and should mean that as Mr Whitaker sees businesses close around him during the recession his should not only survive but thrive through the downturn.

The thirteen strong syndicate has been playing the UK national Lottery as a syndicate for the last ten years and it just goes to show that if you stick with it the lottery can pay great dividends.
